So You Wish to Bind the Aethyr

Excellent choice, adventurer. Binding the Aethyr to your machine takes one command and rather less blood than the old rituals demanded.

Step through the portal

You need only a terminal and the will to use it. Point telnet at the world and the gate opens:

Prefer no install at all? The in-browser portal drops you into the same world, same souls, zero setup.

On first connection the Engine asks a few plain questions. Answer honestly, or do not — the Aethyr is not picky:

tipAlways answer y to colour. The whole world is painted in xterm-256 — playing without it is like reading by a guttering candle.

And that is all. You arrive as a soul newly bound, blinking in the golden light of whatever room the gods last left open.
